  • Small World

It seems like everyone is coming to the John!

Last night Martin, K'Shian, Tyler and myself went out for dinner with Joe Driscoll and his fiance! He has been living up here for a few years now, is working at a glass place in town, and is doing well. He has really changed since I last saw him, but I guess I hadn't talked to him since we graduated almost 7 years ago!!!

Anyways, time for more puppy pictures!!!

Last weekend was a blast. Hockey, shopping, sushi, Yuk Yuks, more shopping, Delilah's, BNL... all in 2 1/2 days! I unfortunately forgot my camera, so no pics.

BUT... now for some super exciting news!!!

Meet the newest member of our family...

The SPCA gave him the name Tundra, but I think we will be calling him Chewbacca, Chewy for short. He is a Chow Chow/Husky/Border Collie or something, so he is totally fluffy and suited for the snow, and has beautiful blue eyes. Isn't he adorable!?!

Ty was home for a total of like 4 days before they sent him back to camp again... for 3 weeks.

Being home alone isn't fun, but I have been super busy with work so I guess that is good. I have been feeling kinda blah lately, so I have decided it is a good weekend for pampering myself and doing a cleanse: drinking a lot of water, herbal teas, organic fruit and veggies... Not to mention long bubble baths, painting my nails, reading magazines, and lots of naps!

I really should get rid of the 6 inches of ice on the driveway, since they FINALLY cleared our street for the first time this winter, but that doesn't really fit into my relaxing plan! Here is the result of their efforts that took until midnight last night:

Yay, 10 foot pile of ice! (our Christmas tree is somewhere in there too... along with all our neighbours', since the recylcing peeps never picked them up) It is funny here, when the temperature goes above freezing, everyone starts panicing, but I understand why. Imagine 6 compacted feet of snow melting. Sump pump pipes exploding, basements flooding, road rivers.... and then it freezes again. Yay for driving and walking on pure ice!

I guess I should post a few updated pics of our house, now that we actually have some furniture, and curtains!

And one of the crazed cat, who follows me around everywhere.

Right now I am super excited for next weekend! I am flying down to Van on Thursday, going to the Nucks-Oilers game, shopping with my mom & Lindzz, having sushi with my superfriends, and then hitting the Barenacked Ladies concert with Mom, Lindz, & Kari!!! I guess it is a good thing I am relaxing this weekend, the next one is going to be crazy!
